One of the most talked about Nike Dunk SB's of 2008 was the scrapped, "Heaven's Gate", Dunk High Premium because of its high controversy over the inspiration- the suicide cult by the same name, which its members were known to all wear white/black Nike Cortezes.

Now it seems like the Nike Dunk team has decided to revisit the Heaven's Gate Dunk colorway on another Dunk High Premium only they've changed up the color blocking scheme a bit. This Dunk Hi Premium features a Black, Light Grey, and Purple color combination.

Nike SB released a very similar model to the Men's Nike Dunk High Premium - Un-Heaven's Gate, which uses almost the same colorway of the Heavens Gate Dunk but with a little different placement thus named the Un-Heaven's Gate SB. It comes suede materials and makes use of shades of purple, black pebbled leather side panels, and purple suede back flaps eyestsays as well as no traces of aqua coloring. News of the Nike Dunk High getting scrapped broke weeks ago, however a similar Dunk High SB has surfaced and could serve as an alternative when it releases next year. This version is reminiscent of the Heaven's Gate model and is made up of a purple, black, white and what appears to be obsidian. However, the shade of purple used on this Dunk High is brighter than the Heaven's Gate and stands out against the black and obsidian.
